CONFLICT should cause us to make the CHOICE
to accept the CHALLENGE
to CONQUER our enemies
through the power of the CROSS
and gain CONFIDENCE in the Lord.
- CONFLICT – “The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites”
(Verse 8)
Deuteronomy 25:17-18 – Do not fear God when you are faint & weary
Esther 4:16 – “If I perish, I perish.”
- CHOICE – “Choose some of our men and go out and fight”
(Verses 9-10)
Ephesians 4:8, 12-13 – Jesus gave gifts to build us up
Joshua 24:15 – Choose this day whom you will serve
- CHALLENGE – “Moses’ hands grew tired”
(Verses 11-12)
Ephesians 6:18 – Pray at all times in the Spirit
1st Timothy 2:8 – Lift up holy hands in prayer
1st Corinthians 15:58 Your labor is not in vain.
- CONQUER – “So Joshua overcame … with the sword”
(Verses 13-14)
Ephesians 6:10-13 – Be strong
Ephesians 6:14a & 17b – Stand firm
Romans 8:37 – More than conquerors
- CONFIDENCE – “The Lord is my Banner”
(Verses 15-16)
Philippians 1:6 – God finishes what he starts
Something to think about …
“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.
Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness
and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
“Make level paths for your feet,”
so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.”
Hebrews 12:11-13
What did God do? …
God saw a CONFLICT
and CHOSE to accept the CHALLENGE
to CONQUER our enemies
through the power of the CROSS
so that we could gain CONFIDENCE in the Lord.
